150th Anniversary California Gold Rush Miner's Transit (Franklin Mint)

NOTES

The decorative replica Miner's Transit by the Franklin Mint is an official presentation of the Autry Museum of Western Heritage. It is the first ever precision-engineered re-creation of an actual miner's transit used during the California Gold Rush and is now housed in the museum's own collection.

This piece has solid brass components atop veined green marble affixed to a mahogany stained wood base. Brass plate is engraved '150th Anniversary Gold Rush Miner's Transit'.

The transit measures approximately 11 inches tall and consists of three parts: the transit, tripod and the base. The compass is fully fictional.
