39mm. Dated July 4, 1976. Contained in a black leather presentation booklet with a commemorative notebooks and signers of the declaration. The Bicentennial Day Commission, organized under the auspices of the Bicentennial authorities of both the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania issued this commemorative in honor of the 4th of July, 1976, the 200th anniversary of the declaration of American independence. The face of the medal portrays the historic 4th of July, 1976 ceremony. The reverse depicts the signing of the declaration on July 4th, 1776. The medal is mounted in a special album which included the Bicentennial Declaration of the People of the U.S.A. It bears the signatures of the President and Vice President, the President's Cabinet, the 9 Supreme Court Justices, all the members of the U. S. Senate and House of Represent., and the Governors of all 50 states.
